Learning outcomes
"Statistical Physics" is a discipline necessary for the formation of the professional worldview of a specialist in Applied Physics. Methods of statistical physics are widely used in the teaching of other disciplines, which are studied in the following semesters of bachelor's and master's degree in Applied Physics. As a result of studying the discipline "Statistical Physics" the student will receive training sufficient for further study in the educational program of Applied Physics, study of the necessary scientific literature, solving typical problems that require the using of statistical methods.
Form of study
Full-time form

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical classes, individual independent work.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semester assessment: The academic semester has three content modules. The first and second modules are rated up to 10 points, the third - up to 20 points. Work in the classroom is part of the relevant module, answers "at the board", homework is part of the relevant module. Written tests carried out after the completion of relevant topics. Instead of modular tests, individual tasks can be credited. Admission to the final exam: the condition for admission to the exam is that the student receives during the semester (total) not less than 24 points. Students who scored a lower number of points during the semester must write an additional test for the required minimum number of points in order to be admitted to the exam. Final assessment (in the form of an exam): The exam ticket consists of 2 theoretical questions and 2 tasks. Each question and each task is evaluated from 0 to 15 points.
