Learning outcomes Students should know: 1.1. the subject area of the course within the general programme in philosophy; interrelationships of different periods of philosophy; the main means (methods) of studying and researching philosophy. 1.2. the structure and components of philosophy; the foundations for the first examples of philosophy; representatives of philosophy, the main schools and directions of philosophy. be able to: 2.1 Apply the methodological tools of the course curriculum 2.2 Analyse educational material on the basis of programme guidelines; communication: 3.1 Use knowledge of foreign languages to analyse information Internet resources, read philosophical literature in preparation for seminars and write independent works 3.2 present the results of independent work in the form of reports, messages, essays, presentations, notes

Prerequisites and additional requirements 1.The student should know the correlation of different periods of the history of philosophy, the specifics of the emergence and formation of paradigms in the history of world and Ukrainian philosophical thought, in particular, their philosophical and political component, the place of different philosophical systems in the history of philosophy, the main theoretical problems of modern philosophy. 2. Be able to analyze the material and independently conduct historical and philosophical work on the processing of texts, collect and interpret historical and philosophical information, reasonably identify the features of the historical development of human thought. The student should master a balanced list of historical and philosophical lexical units that cover a particular phenomenon of philosophy. To form a personal vocabulary for researching an actual problem of philosophy.

Content of the educational program The discipline "Philosophy" is included in the cycle of compulsory disciplines. The subject of study of the discipline is the basic doctrines and concepts of philosophy; features of the historical emergence of philosophy, the structure and functions of philosophical knowledge; characteristic features of philosophical thinking. The subject of study also includes an analysis of the philosophical and political component of philosophy. The aim of the discipline is to promote students' understanding of the prerequisites and specifics of the formation of major philosophical paradigms. Students' awareness of the place of philosophical periods in the history of philosophy. Acquaintance with specific historical stages and features of philosophy. Particular attention is paid to philosophical and political doctrines.

Planned educational activities and teaching methods Lectures, seminars, independent work. Lectures take place in the classroom with the use of presentations and additional illustrative material. The seminars take place in classrooms, during the seminars the learning of the material takes place in the form of discussions (individual and group), discussions and analysis, game methods are used, and practical tasks are performed. The student's independent work consists in the systematic processing of materials proposed by the teacher. The learned material is subject to verification at seminar classes in the form of an oral survey. In addition, the results of independent processing of the material are checked during the writing of modular test papers. Missed classes are made up by the student completing additional tasks in the discipline.

Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level evaluation of the learned material (theoretical and practical training). - semester assessment (MAX – 80 points / MIN – 48 points): 1. Work at seminar classes 2. Control work in the form of a test. - Final assessment: exam. The final grade is defined as the sum of grades (points) for all successfully assessed learning outcomes during the semester (grades below the minimum threshold level are not added to the final grade). The exam is assessed in writing. The question paper consists of 2 questions, each of which is assessed on a scale of 20 points, which gives a total of 40 points for the exam. The maximum number of points that can be received by a student is 100 points.
