            Learning outcomes
        
        
            PLO-8. Be able to use information and communication technologies and, on this basis, form an effective system of information and analytical support for decision-making regarding the prevention, counteraction and neutralization of threats to national security.
PLO-10. Be able to analyze challenges and threats to national security by areas of professional activity and synthesize information on the development and implementation of strategies in the defining areas of national security (political, economic, social, humanitarian).
PLO-14. Be able to read and understand professional foreign language literature, using it in social and professional spheres, as well as demonstrate a culture of thinking and demonstrate skills in organizing cultural dialogue with foreign partners at the level necessary for professional activity.
PLO-17. Be able to use the acquired knowledge regarding the security component of the foreign policy of Ukraine and other states.

            Prerequisites and additional requirements
         know: conceptual principles of formation of the national security system; tasks, structure, subjects and prerequisites for the effectiveness of the specified system; the evolution of ideas about the essence of national security as a social phenomenon, its types and components;
         be able: identify factors that allow classifying national interests in the foreign policy sphere of the state's vital activities; evaluate social phenomena that are denoted by the concepts of "threat", "challenge" and "risk" when making management decisions regarding the security component of foreign policy; apply the main categories, concepts (terms) when determining the priorities of the specified policy in the context of modern processes of globalization.;
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            Content of the educational program
The discipline familiarizes students with the main norms of domestic and foreign policy and international relations of foreign states, in particular with the mechanisms and features of foreign policy implementation; the main subjects of international relations and international security; features of the transformation of the modern stage of international relations, etc. Special attention is paid to the security component of the foreign policy of European countries, namely: the European Union, as a subject of the system of international relations; the security component of the foreign policy of the countries of Western, Central and Eastern Europe; features of the transformation of the security component of the foreign policy of Ukraine, Georgia and the Republic of Moldova. Also, detailed attention is paid to the security component of the foreign policy of the countries of the regions of North and South America, in particular the security component of the foreign policy of Canada and the USA, the role of the policy of Latin American countries in the formation of the international security system, etc. The security component of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and Southeast Asia is revealed.

Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level evaluation of the learned material, in particular, the evaluation of theoretical training - learning results, which is 40% of the total grade for the semester, and the evaluation of practical training - learning results, which is 60% of the total grade for the semester. semester assessment (MAX – 60 points / MIN – 36 points): work in seminar classes; two modular test papers in the form of open questions, individual independent work.
The final assessment (MAX: 40 points; MIN: 24 points) is an exam in the form of a written work with tasks of various levels of difficulty. The final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester (MIN 36, MAX 60 points) and the exam paper (MIN 24, MAX 40 points).
