Learning outcomes
Forming of knowledge of the basic concepts regarding the architecture of microprocessors and microcontrollers, the use of microprocessors in the organization of memory protection and input-output devices, the use of interrupt mechanisms during the development and operating of microprocessor systems, the use of microprocessors for the organization of multitasking systems and the organization of stream computing as well

Prerequisites and co-requisites
The course “Microprocessors and Microcontrollers” is based on the cycle of disciplines, including "Radio circuits and signals", "Fundamentals of digital technology".
Course content
The discipline program examines the basics of organization, construction and operation of software-controlled devices - microprocessors and microcontrollers. Particular attention is paid to familiarizing students with the principles of microprocessor systems, architecture and microarchitecture of modern universal and signal processors and microcontrollers as well.

Lectures, final control work, tasks for the work out of classes, final examination
Assessment methods and criteria
Control works, tasks for the works out of classes, answers at the final examination are evaluated. The contribution of the different components into the final mark under the condition of successful preparation of all the tasks is: knowledge – up to 50%, skills – up to 35%, communication – up to 5%, autonomy and responsibility – up to 10%.
