The methodology of teaching natural and geographical disciplines is a study of the theory, methodology, methods and technology of teaching natural geography in institutions of higher education. Therefore, this discipline examines the theoretical basis of such education, in particular, attention is paid to its competence orientation, methods of pedagogical scientific research, the psychodidactic basis of teaching natural geography, with the emphasis on the psychodidactic basis and didactic principles of the organization of such a process Various approaches to the formation of key, interdisciplinary and subject competences among students are determined, including current methods and methodical methods of training. Modern means of learning are analyzed together with educational models, and the main components of the computerization of the educational process in natural geography are highlighted. Attention is paid to traditional and non-traditional forms of organization of education with an emphasis on the independent cognitive activity of students, approaches to the design and implementation of the control system are given, including test, knowledge and skills. Systematization of modern technologies of teaching natural geography is carried out, with the disclosure of the features of the application of the most leading ones.
