Prerequisites and co-requisites
Know: the main theoretical and methodological problems of clinical psychology; basic medical concepts and main categories of clinical psychology; the concept of diagnosis, psychological factors in the occurrence and course of the disease, classification of methods of clinical psychology, psychodiagnostics; basic principles of psychological course of medical process, features of work of medical psychologists, deontology and legal aspects of activity of medical psychologists; psychology of extreme and crisis states; basic knowledge of rehabilitation, psychotherapy and psychoconsulting. Be able to: conduct a psychological examination taking into account the nosological and age specifics, as well as in accordance with the objectives of medical and psychological examination; creating the necessary psychological contact during the study; selection of adequate methodological apparatus, planning, organization and analysis of research results.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline - to acquaint students with the main areas of clinical psychology; to give an idea of ​​the content of the professional activity of a psychologist in hospitals; show the mechanisms of establishing the patient's relationship with medical staff; to reveal psychological factors that promote or hinder the healing process. Clinical psychology is based on two main disciplines - psychology and medicine. From psychodiagnostics and general psychology, she takes methods of studying the mental characteristics of somatic patients, assessing the adequacy or deviance of human behavior, individual psychological characteristics of man and normal mental response options. Clinical psychology influences the development of theories and practices of psychiatry, neurology, internal medicine and other medical disciplines. But at the same time its study is impossible without medical knowledge, such as neurology, neurosurgery, medical examination.

Assessment methods and criteria
Final assessment in the form of an exam. The maximum number of points that can be obtained by a student is 40 points on a 100-point scale. Form of conducting - written. Types of tasks - test, open questions, creative tasks; cases; the test task is estimated at 15%; answer to open question 1 - in 25%; answer to open-ended question 2 - in 25%, creative task - in 35% of the total score. The minimum threshold level of the examination mark at which the examination is considered passed, the mark for the examination may not be less than 24 points. Conditions for admission to the exam. A student is not allowed to take the exam if he / she scored less than 36 points during the semester. The student is admitted to the exam provided that 50% of the planned practical work is completed. 7.2. Organization of assessment: after topic 1-4 modular test work 1; after topic 5 students prepare presentations; after topic 8 is a modular test 2.
