1. To know key principles of profile common-geographic academic disciplines and
computer sciences.
2. To be able to apply the approaches of geographic modeling, geographic information
systems and technologies, information networks and environmental management.
3. To possess the expertise in using of procedures for management of projects and
programs in the scope of natural geography and in SDI development.
Course content
Annotation of the academic discipline: The discipline deals with general principles
and approaches to GIS designing and technologies of: basic (initial) and strategic GIS
designing; GIS software and hardware designing and operation and final GIS designing
with examples of GIS development for the trans-boundary Danube and Dnipro River
Basins.
