            1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Biogeography", "Protected Affairs",
"Agroecology", "Urboecology", "Hydrology and Oceanology",
"Geomorphology", "Cartography", "Fundamentals of geoecology", "Ecogeography
of Ukraine", "Landscapes of Ukraine".
2. To be able to establish the nature of relationships between the causes of occurrence,
consequences and ways of solving global environmental problems.
3. To be able to analyze the negative consequences of economic activity of a person with
positions of the ecological approach to solving the problems of nature use.
4. To know the main theoretical provisions of global ecology, the history of its formation
of this science, its structure and regularities of functioning of the biosphere.
5. To know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of ecological research, methodology
studies of ecosystems and the biosphere, the basics of ecological forecasting and
modeling, organization of environmental monitoring, etc.
        
    
            Course content
        
        
            This educational discipline
dedicated to the study of the peculiarities of the functioning of the biosphere, its dynamics and
evolution, the impact on it of various environmental and economic factors
human activity, the essence of the concepts "ecosystem" and "biosphere", as well as
formation of skills and abilities to solve the main environmental problems in
plane of the subject area of natural geography, principles and modern
methods used to solve them. Discipline "Global
ecology" aimed at deepening theoretical geoecological knowledge,
formation of special professional, social and personal skills in students
competencies, accumulation of knowledge regarding the possibility of critical thinking, analysis and
synthesis, the ability to search, process and analyze information from various sources, the ability to identify, formulate and solve problems in various areas
nature management and environmental protection.
Separate components of the discipline are the study of methods and methods
increasing sustainability and ensuring sustainable development of ecosystems; ways
management of environmental protection activities; principles of rationality
use and protection of ecosystems of the biosphere from adverse effects
anthropogenic and technogenic factors; methods of research of consequences
adverse changes in ecosystems.
The functional block of the discipline involves mastering the following
components, such as the ability to apply basic knowledge of natural sciences and
information technologies in the field of nature management and environmental protection,
the ability to apply quantitative and qualitative methods of ecosystem research,
the ability to independently investigate and analyze spatio-temporal changes in the biosphere
for the purposes of balanced nature use and environmental protection.
