1. Basic knowledge of geomorphology, the basics of geology, meteorology, geodesy and
cartography

Course content
The tasks of the discipline – to highlight the following issues:
- the fundamental principles of the basic concept on the development of dangerous natural
processes;
- the possibilities of risk analysis in the study of distribution zones and the frequency of
development of hazardous processes within a proper area for the reference period of time.
- studying major trend in development of hazardous processes (dangerous processes that previously
had the course of natural disasters are now implemented as disasters) on the basis of statistical
information on victims and destruction;
- monitoring systems, and warning system in case of probability of hazardous processes
development in a certain territory;
- the methodology for introducing measures to prevent and minimize the negative effects of
hazardous natural processes. . /
