Learning outcomes
To know main concepts and logic of intersectional analysis in sociology
To know contemporary context of intersectionality gender, age, class, nation in the inequality formation in Europe and Ukraine
To use methods of intersectional analysis.
To use gender and feminist approaches for research and interpetation social inequalities in Europe and Ukraine.
To demonstrate the abilities for argumentation the own point of view, competent and tolerant discussion with opponents
To work out the analytics and research work with intersectional analysis.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowing the basics of socio-structural analysis for social inequalities.
2. Ability to work with scientific resources and sociological data.
3. Possession the concepts of modern sociological theory and gender analysis
Course content
The discipline encompasses current issues of intersectional analysis, as also theoretical and practical sociological research on ascribed factors of social stratification: sex, age, nation (race) and mutual influence on the inequality structuring in society. The course starts from the feminist critique analysis of classical sociological stratification and inequality research, contemporary schemes of social status dimensions. Methodologies are working out within social stratification research and feminist critique, finalizing with class, age, nation analysis in terms of social stratification research in USA and Europe. The main focus is on critical thinking formation on main class approaches, knowledge making on sociological studies of gender, age, class, nation; understanding the theory and practice relation in research work; demographic peculiarities in European societies and Ukraine
