Know the main stages of development and features of sociological theory and sociological research in Ukraine and the world Know the specifics of the classical stage of formation of sociology and its main representatives Be able to work with bibliography and primary sources Be able to analyze, summarize, make a comparative description of personalities, ideas and eras Be able to apply the concepts and provisions of sociological theories of the ХІХ-early ХХ century for the analysis of modern society Be able to identify the main problems and specifics of the formation of modern Ukrainian sociological thought

History of sociology as a science. The main stages and directions of development of knowledge about man and society. The occurrence and development of sociology in the ХІХ century.
