Learning outcomes
Know: the lexical minimum for obtaining, producing and exchanging professional information on the topic; ways to determine the value of units in the specialty; be able to: find synonyms and antonyms within the terminological minimum; correctly apply grammatical structures that are inherent in the texts of the specialty; compile a dictionary of professional terms; determine the meaning of unfamiliar words using context; make reports and participate in discussions on sociology; communication: analyze, compare, classify professional information, see the relationship between parts of the whole, as well as find differences between facts and consequences, assess the significance of information; creatively apply the acquired knowledge, proposing a plan for sociological experiments, compare and systematize the results of experiments.

Operate the knowledge, skills and abilities previously formed during the study of a foreign language (English) at a minimum sufficient level of B1 according to CEFR.

Assessment methods and criteria
1 semester: 1. Oral individual and frontal survey (1-2 topics) - 40 points / 22 points (20 maximum and 11 minimum points for each topic). 2. Written tasks for VTS (2 tasks) - 30 points / 18 points (15 maximum and 9 minimum points each). 3. Written test control (2 final tests) - 30 points / 18 points (15 maximum and 9 minimum points each). Final assessment - credit. 2nd semester: 1. Oral individual and frontal survey (3-4 topics) - 20 points / 12 points (10 maximum or 6 minimum points for each topic). 2. Written tasks for VTS (2 tasks) - 20 points / 12 point
