Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
The discipline "Fundamentals of Physical and Nanoelectronics" is part of the elective block of disciplines for the program Applied Physics, Nanoelectronics and Computer Technologies and uses the results of studying the following disciplines: "General Physics, Materials of Modern Electronics, Electricity and Magnetism, Molecular Physics, Physics of Surface Phenomena.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to consider the main stages of the development of electronics, micro- and nanoelectronics, to deepen students' knowledge of the structure and properties of nanomaterials, to review modern scientific and technological aspects of the manufacture of nanostructures, directions and prospects for the development of nanoelectronics. The course addresses issues related to the classification of nanomaterials, methods of their production, research, and also examines existing and promising areas of practical application of nanoscale materials. The issues related to the classification of emissions and examples of their use for the study of physical properties of surfaces are considered. The physical foundations of thermoelectronic emission of metals and semiconductors are presented. The study of the discipline "Fundamentals of Physical and Nanoelectronics" allows you to understand the physical aspects of micro- and nanoelectronics, the ways of transition from micro- to nanoelectronic devices; nanomaterials and nanotechnology underlying the construction and functioning of nanoelectronic devices and devices. The basic information on the current level of scientific and technical achievements in the field of nanoelectronics based on semiconductors, ferromagnets, carbon nanostructures, graphene, fullerenes, carbon nanotubes is presented. The physical foundations of molecular electronics are presented. Nanostructured ferromagnets and the basics of magnetic nanoelectronics are considered. The main types of emissions are considered: auto-electronic, photoelectronic, secondary-electronic emission.
