Learning outcomes
To know: The main problems and methods of social psychology. Means of group development and dynamic processes in a small group. Problems of group cohesion, leadership and management in small groups. Be able to: Evaluate the results of cognitive scientific and professional activity and its regulation, build and implement an effective strategy for self-development and professional self-improvement. Identify the causes of conflicts and resolve them in the group. Communication: Present the results of research and independent work in the form of reports, messages, presentations. Engage in a debate on the organisation and implementation of the main directions and trends of scientific research using the potential of basic sciences and modern information and communication technologies. Autonomy and responsibility: Be responsible for the reliability of the research conducted and extrapolate psychological knowledge to a wide range of research and innovation processes.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know: The subject and main categories of social psychology. The main theoretical approaches to the analysis of social and psychological phenomena. Methods of social and psychological research. Social and psychological features of large groups (organised and unorganised). Dynamic processes occurring in a small group. Causes of conflicts and ways to prevent and resolve them. 2. Be able to: Analyse and explain social and psychological phenomena. Appropriately apply methods of social and psychological research. Identify the causes of conflicts in organisations and search for ways to prevent and resolve them. Analyse the phenomena of leadership and management. Analyse the behaviour of individuals in large crowds. 3. To have: Elementary skills of scientific research and information management. Critical attitude and forecasting of social and political events and phenomena. Use of foreign language professional information sources.
Course content
Topic 1: Social psychology as a science. Methods of social psychology. Topic 2. Communication as perception and understanding of each other. Topic 3. Communication as interaction. Control work. Part 2. Social psychology of groups and individuals. Topic 4. General theses of small group psychology. Topic 5. The concept of group dynamics, its processes and mechanisms. Formation and development of a small group. Topic 6. Psychological phenomenology of conflict. Topic 7. Leadership and management in small groups. The problem of making a group decision.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of semester work: 1. Oral report, additions and participation in seminar discussions - 21 / 35 points 2. Control work - 9 / 15 points 3. Independent work - 18 / 30 points The total semester grade consists of the points obtained for 1) classroom work (oral reports, additions and participation in seminar discussions), 2) control work, 3) independent work. All types of work in the semester have a total - a maximum of 80 points - a minimum of 48 points Final written test - 12 / 20 points
