PLO 3. Organize the process of one's education and self-education; PLO 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folk art, determine their specificity and place in the literary process; PLO 25.2 Apply in practice the knowledge of the prototypes, motifs, formulas, and architecture of texts of various genres and subgenres typical of world epics; to reveal in the textual space of the Ukrainian folk epic allusions to world cultural heritage.

Full-time form

- Successful completion of courses: Ukrainian folklore, Folklore poetics, Folklore theory; - Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of cultural studies, literary studies, folkloristics; - Ability to work with various sources of educational and scientific information, process it, make generalizations and conclusions; - Possession of elementary skills of folklore text analysis; search and processing of educational information.

Purpose of discipline - to form among students a system of knowledge about folk creativity, cultural heritage of the peoples of the Africa; to find out the national characteristics of samples of folklore units of these peoples. Annotation. The educational discipline is aimed at getting acquainted with the genre system of the folklore of the peoples of the Africa, the poetics of the studied genres, their national specificity; distribution, habitation and popularization of folklore units on the African continent. The discipline is also aimed at the formation of practical skills, which are necessary for the study of cultural epochs of human development, as well as instilling respect for the cultural traditions of the peoples of the world.

The course includes 2 content parts. Forms of education: lectures, seminars, independent work. During the semester, after lectures on relevant topics, seminar classes are held, at which evaluation is carried out according to the types of work (oral response, addition, participation in discussion, presentation of independent research, control work, exam).

Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge) - 40% of the total assessment and assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills, communication) - 60% of the overall assessment. Evaluation of the semester work: oral answer, additions, participation in the discussion, current control work: 25/45b. Preparation and defense of the presentation: 11/15b. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (oral answers, additions, participation in discussion, current test papers, defense of the presentation) and for independent work (preparation of the presentation). The final grade for the discipline (minimum 60, maximum 100 points) consists of the sum of the number of points for the semester work (minimum 36, maximum 60 points) and the written exam (minimum 24, maximum 40 points).
