1. To have the skills of critical thinking, to present their own thoughts in a clear way, to make their arguments. 2. To analyze, comment and summarize scientific and analytical texts of culturological format. 4. To know and understand theoretical approaches to definition of culture, its manifestations and forms of existence. 5. To collect, organize and analyze information on cultural phenomena, events, historical and cultural processes. 6. To identify, verify and summarize information on various contexts of cultural practice, to determine the degree of their relevance using different sources, information, communication tools and visual technologies. 7. To understand the factors of cultural dynamics, the principles of periodization of cultural processes, their specific features and characteristics. 8. To interpret cultural sources (material, printed, visual, artistic) using special literature and certain methods, tо reasonably present conclusions regarding their content.

1. Before studying this course, students must know the basic stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; basic modern theories and methods of their cultural research, including methods of philosophy of culture, theory and history of culture, sociology of culture, history of artistic practices; basic cultural concepts and categories; 2. Students must be able to collect and interpret information on cultural phenomena and manifestations, cultural processes and events; apply the basic terms, categories and classifications of cultural research in the analysis of socio-cultural phenomena and processes; 3. Students must have basic skills in research and information management; critical attitude and predicting in relation to political, economic, cultural and artistic events and phenomena; use of foreign language for professional information sources.

Concepts of globalization. Information theories. Consumption concepts. Text theories. The series as a cultural practice of Postmodern.
