PR01. Apply acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills for research territorial and political systems on different levels of spatial organization. PR14. Formulate scientific hypotheses, define relevant aspects in fundamental and applied directions of research, to develop and manage projects in the field of political geography and geopolitics, geospatial territorial and political management systems and regional development

Full-time form

1. Successful completion of the courses "Theory of Political Geography and Geopolitics", "Theory of geographical places"; 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of social geography, regional geography, geographic country studies; 3. Possession of the skills of searching for socio-geographical information, notation and abstracting of literary and statistical sources.

Scientific approaches to definition of territorial identity, description of its structure, factors that determine its formation; social and political consequences are characterized territorial identity, in particular, its influence on electoral, political and geopolitical processes at different spatial hierarchical levels.

Lectures, seminars, consultations, independent work

The number of points that the student receives during the course of the semester is the sum of the points obtained during the evaluation of the work on seminar classes and performance of thematic control works. Organization of evaluation: Surveys in written form are conducted with for the purpose of current control of students' knowledge during lectures. Work on seminar classes are evaluated according to the schedule conducting seminar classes. Thematic control works are conducted in written form with inclusion both test and analytical creative tasks. Students who received for a thematic test with less than the minimum number of points provided, rearrange it. The final assessment in the form of credit is conducted in writing format.
