Learning outcomes
PR 05. To be able to identify, pose and solve scientific and applied problems, carry out a critical assessment of accepted solutions PR 06. Apply modern models and information technologies for conducting research and development in the field of geography, nature management, urban and regional development. PR 08. Conduct research on natural and socio-geographic manifestations of the development of geosystems in complex and unpredictable conditions, forecast their development, analyze alternatives, assess risks and likely consequences PR 14. Formulate scientific hypotheses, determine relevant aspects in fundamental and applied areas of research, develop and manage projects in in the field of geography, nature management, urban and regional development.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Theory of political geography and geopolitics", "Geoglobalistics" and "Geoconflictology". 2. Knowledge of theoretical foundations of political geography, socio-political studies. 3. Possessing the skills of analysis, synthesis, situation modeling, forecasting, comparison and methods of political and geographical research.
Course content
Information is provided on the evolution of the international order in the 19th-20th centuries. The essence of politico-geographical and geopolitical is revealed concepts of modernity and the role of modern global problems in the formation of external policies of world states. Foreign policy and geopolitical strategies, place and the role of today's key states. The role and place of Ukraine in the global world is considered political space.

Assessment methods and criteria
Thematic control papers. Final control works are conducted in writing in the form of tests and open questions and are designed to reveal the knowledge and skills acquired during mastering relevant topics. Students who received for a thematic test with less than the minimum number of points provided, rearrange it. - participation in discussions of current theoretical and applied problems of the global political geography; - preparation and submission of an analytical note on tasks set in advance; - presenting a presentation of individual/group research that concerns comprehensive disclosure of a certain task. The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points.
