Course content
The program of the discipline considers such fundamental concepts of higher mathematics as
sets, functions and relations on sets, matrix determinants and actions with them,
of mathematical statistics.
These basic mathematical concepts are necessary to prepare students for use
methods of linear, vector algebra, mathematical statistics for understanding means,
mathematical methods and models that are used in further training courses at
conducting practical statistical research in tourism in the application of knowledge in bodies
state management of tourism, promoting the development of logical and analytical thinking
students. The functional block of the discipline involves mastering such components as
the ability to apply knowledge of higher mathematics in tourist activity.

Assessment methods and criteria
Final evaluation (in the form of credits): form of credits
- in writing. Credit is assessed on a 40-point scale. Theoretical questions are submitted for assessment
course program, typical and complex tasks. In total, you can get from 0 to 40 for the credit
points
The final grade is calculated as the sum of points for each of the modules of the semester and points for
test. A condition for achieving a positive grade for a discipline is to obtain at least 60
points
In general, the formation of the assessment is based on the "Regulations on the organization of educational
of the process at Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University", put into effect
by Order No. 716-32 dated August 31, 2018.
