Learning outcomes
PLO 3. To apply modern methods and technologies, IT in particular, for the successful and effective professional activity and quality research in the field of Hindi philology.
PLO 7. To analyze, compare and classify different directions and schools in linguistics.
PLO 9. To characterize the theoretical foundations (concepts, categories, principles, basic concepts, etc.) and applied aspects of Hindi philology.
PLO 16. To use specialized conceptual knowledge in the field of Hindi philology to solve complex tasks and problems that require updating and integration of knowledge, often in conditions of incomplete or insufficient information and conflicting requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of the professional disciplines "Lexicology of the Hindi language", "Stylistics of the Hindi language", "Theory and methodology of translation (Hindi)", "Hindi for professional communication"; 2) knowledge of phonetics, vocabulary and grammar of the modern Hindi language obtained from the practical course of Hindi.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is the development of students' speaking skills and abilities in the field of academic discourse; improving mastery of such quality communicative features of speech culture as correctness, accuracy, logic, meaningfulness, appropriateness, expressiveness, purity, etc. in the field of academic education.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Learning activities comprise lectures and practical classes. Self-study of students involves preparation for oral responses, reports with analysis of scientific literature, fulfilment of written exercises, research presentation.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semestral assessment is based on the oral testing, written tasks, translation exercises - 36/60 points, modular test papers - 12/20 points, final test paper - 12/20 points. The credit is given based on the results of the student’s work throughout the entire semester and does not require additional assessment measures. Students who scored 60 points, the required minimum, receive “passed”. Students who failed to score 60 points, the required minimum, receive “failed”. Those students who scored totally less than 60 points during the semester period should complete a test paper in the items which he/she failed to pass. Final score 60-100 – passed; 0-59 - failed.
