Learning outcomes
PLO 1. To evaluate personal educational and scientific-professional activity, build and implement an effective strategy of self-development and professional self-improvement. PLO 3. To apply modern methods and technologies, IT in particular, for the successful and effective professional activity and quality research within the Persian philology. PLO 10. To collect and systematise linguistic, literary and folklore facts, to interpret and translate texts of different styles and genres (depending on the specialisation elected). PLO 16. To use specialized conceptual knowledge in the field of Persian philology to solve complex tasks and problems that require updating and integration of knowledge, often in conditions of incomplete or insufficient information and conflicting requirements.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the professional disciplines "Basics of Translation theory (Hindi)", "Basics of Translation practice (Hindi)", "Stylistics of Hindi", "Hindi Business communication", "Translation theory and methodology (Hindi)". Knowledge of phonetics, vocabulary and grammar of the modern Hindi language obtained from the practical course of Hindi.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to teach students to adequately translate scientific Hindi texts; to translate fixed phrases and language clichés from the relevant texts; to perform oral translation in both directions; to improve active vocabulary from the appropriate lexicon.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
The discipline provides only practical classes aimed at developing students' skills in oral and written translation of the specified types of texts. Completion of homework and translation exercises is mandatory. Control from the teacher's side is carried out by means of an oral survey and the organization of written tasks, tests, lexical dictations, modular control works.
Assessment methods and criteria
Semestral assessment is based on the oral testing, written tasks, translation exercises - 36/60 points, modular test papers - 12/20 points, final test paper - 12/20 points. The credit is given based on the results of the student’s work throughout the entire semester and does not require additional assessment measures. Students who scored 60 points, the required minimum, receive “passed”. Students who failed to score 60 points, the required minimum, receive “failed”. Those students who scored totally less than 60 points during the semester period should complete a test paper in the items which he/she failed to pass. Final score 60-100 – passed; 0-59 - failed.
