PLO 14. To perform medical manipulations in the conditions of a medical institution (according to list 5), at home or at work based on a preliminary clinical analysis and/or indicators of the patient's condition by making a reasoned decision in compliance with the relevant ethical and legal norms. PLO 21. Search for the necessary information in the professional literature and databases of other sources, analyze, evaluate and apply this information.

The educational practice "General care of patients of a surgical profile (practice)" is a component of the cycle of training specialists of the educational level "Master" according to the educational program 222 "Medicine". "General care of patients with a surgical profile (practice)" is a mandatory clinical component of the educational program, the study of which is designed to form in the student a holistic idea of the work of a surgical hospital in health care institutions, the rules of contact with patients, to lay the moral and ethical foundations of further professional behavior The discipline involves the study of hygienic, preventive and curative measures that are within the competence of the medical staff and are used to create comfortable conditions for the patient's stay in the surgical hospital, promote the patient's speedy recovery, prevent the development of complications, as well as mastering the simplest manipulations of providing first aid in emergency situations. The educational practice program is structured and includes the following sections: introduction to surgery, principles of operation of a surgical hospital. Asepsis and antiseptics in the operation of the surgical inpatient department. Organization of dressing work: clean and purulent dressing. Asepsis and antiseptics. Care of patients with clean and purulent wounds. Sterilization, organization and work schedule in the operating unit. Surgical operation: preparation of the surgeon and patients for planned and urgent surgical interventions. Measures for the care of patients in the postoperative period.
