Learning outcomes
PRN 1 Communicate freely on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in the national and English languages orally and in writing, use them to organize effective intercultural communication.
PRN 2 Effectively work with information: select the necessary information from various sources, in particular from specialized literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it.
PRN 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Polish language and literature, and to be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities.
PRN 11. To know the principles, technologies and methods of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the state, Polish, English and Lithuanian languages.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Knowledge of the basic concepts of the discipline modern Ukrainian language according to the program for secondary school.
2. Mastery of methods of analysis of language units of different levels
3. The ability to operate theoretical and applied material in accordance with the program for secondary school.
Course content
The discipline covers the following content blocks: 1. Introduction. Ukrainian language: from antiquity to the present. 2. Lexical system of the modern Ukrainian language. Lexicographic sources. 3. Phonetic features of the modern Ukrainian language. 4. Morphological and word-forming characteristics of the modern Ukrainian language. 5. Syntactic units. Phrase and its types. A simple sentence. Main and secondary members. Expression of the main member in a one-syllable sentence. 6. Simple complex sentence. Different types of complication. 7. Complex sentence: with consecutive, subordinate and undifferentiated syntactic connection. Text.

Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of the points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation: oral answers, additions, tests, control papers).
