Learning outcomes
PRN 2. Effectively work with information: select the necessary information from various sources, in particular from specialized literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, arrange, classify and systematize it
PRN 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Polish language and literature, and to be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities.
PRN 13. Analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and foreign fiction and oral folk art, determine their specificity and place in the literary process (by specialization: Slavic languages and literatures (including translation), the first is Polish).

Have elementary skills
- application of acquired professional knowledge from the history of Ukrainian literature, literary studies in modern cultural, social, informational, educational and research spaces;
- to have professional methods of analysis of literary material,
- to have the skills to identify the relationship between works of modern Ukrainian literature and world literature, folklore, painting, music and other types of arts.
Course content
The course consolidates and deepens basic knowledge of the history of Ukrainian literature, in particular the regularities of the development of the Ukrainian historical-literary process in relationships with world literature. Continues the systematic study of: bright modern literary phenomena in a variety of styles and genres, innovative shifts in the cultural and stylistic epoch of the border of the XX-XXI centuries; peculiarities of the poetics of modern lyrics, drama, short stories, novels, the specifics of genre and stylistic modifications, plot creation, character creation, visual and expressive means of the works of Yuriy Andruhovich, Oksana Zabuzhko, Halyna Pagutyak, Serhiy Zhadan, Yuriy Vinnychuk, etc.

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, evaluation is carried out according to the types of works: Answers in the seminar session - 48/30, control work - 52/30. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures
