PRN 1. Communicate freely on professional issues with specialists and non-specialists in the state, Polish, English and Lithuanian languages orally and in writing, use them to organize effective intercultural communication. PRN 10. Know the norms of the literary language and be able to apply them in practical activities. PRN 11. To know the principles, technologies and methods of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the state, Polish, English and Lithuanian languages. PRN 12. Analyze language units, determine their interaction and characterize language phenomena and processes that cause them PRN 14. To use Polish, English and Lithuanian languages in oral and written form, in various genre-stylistic varieties and registers of communication (official, unofficial, neutral), to solve communicative tasks in everyday, social, educational, professional, scientific spheres life.

The student must know • orthoepic, grammatical, lexical and stylistic norms of literary English, speak English at a level not lower than B1; • basic linguistic terms; principles of analysis of language material; features of semantics and functioning of units of all levels of English; The student must be able to: • apply linguistic tools in practice; • have basic skills in the selection, analysis and interpretation of speech facts; • communicate on linguistic topics

The discipline "English" aims to develop students' language competence to use English in a wide range of real-world situations at the interpersonal, professional and educational levels. The course provides students with systematic mastery of basic speech skills (reading, writing, active communication and listening) and mastering a large number of intercultural topics, lexical units, phrasal verbs, regular expressions, idioms, basic everyday conversational topics, which will allow free navigation in today's world. . The course involves the development of reading, listening, speaking and writing skills to the intended level (B2 on the Council of Europe scale).
