Learning outcomes
PLO 11. Know the principles, technologies and techniques of oral and written texts of different genres and styles creation in Ukrainian, English and German / French / Spanish / Italian / Portuguese. PLO 13. Analyse and interpret works of Ukrainian and English fiction and oral folk art, to determine their particularities and place in the literary process. PLO 17. Collect, analyse, systematize and interpret language and speech facts and use them to solve complex problems and tasks in specialized fields of professional activity and / or training. PLO 21 Know the approaches to evaluating and ensuring the quality of copywriting, rewriting and speechwriting. PLO 23 Make, edit and translate written and oral texts of political or business discourse (Ukrainian and English).

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful completion of the disciplines "Fundamentals of Proofreading and Editing" and "Abstracting and Annotating a Political Text". Students should know the main characteristics of text composition, linguistic, stylistic and other editing norms, the basic principles of analytical and synthetic processing of texts. Be able to edit and proofread political texts, search and systematize literature, abstract and annotate documents. Possess basic skills in working with search engines, general and specific methods of editing and proofreading, annotating and abstracting.
Course content
The discipline "Copywriting and Rewriting of Political Text" is one of the components of the elective block "Political Linguistics" as part of the complex discipline "Political Text Creation" - Part 1. The course is aimed at developing specific skills in working with text: both analytical and semantic processing of existing texts (rewriting) and creation of new texts of political and informational genres (copywriting, speechwriting). Students study the specifics of different types of copywriting (political, marketing, creative, etc.); work with different types of political texts (speeches of political leaders, political advertising, press releases, media reports, social media posts, etc.); create unique textual content in accordance with modern requirements and challenges for copywriters.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Verbal, visual and practical methods of teaching: lecture, practical training, independent work Activities: Answering practical questions, supplementing, participating in discussions, analyzing, tests, written work, final control tasks.
Assessment methods and criteria
The form of final control is an exam. Students can score the following number of points for each type of work: - Answer at a practical lesson - 3 points (x15 = 45 points) - Independent work (presentation, abstract - at the discretion of the teacher) - 5 points - Written assignment (analytical review, abstract) - 10 points All types of work for the semester have a total of 60 points in the maximum dimension and 36 points in the minimum dimension. The final assessment is conducted in the form of a comprehensive exam: the maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points (positive assessment), which are added to the semester points is 24 points
