Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the academic disciplines "Biology" and "General ecology and neoecology". 2. The ability to independently apply the acquired knowledge to solve specific problems (establish cause-and-effect relationships, classify environmental factors), work with scientific and educational literature. 3. Possess basic system analysis skills.
Course content
The teaching of this discipline is aimed at students acquiring knowledge about the main groups of organisms that are used in biological control of pests and the skills of identifying biodamages; possession of methods of protection against biodamage; assessment of the impact of biological damage on living and non-living systems and objects, monitoring of pest population numbers.
