Learning outcomes
To know: the subject of argumentation theory components of argumentation rules, errors and techniques in argumentation Be able to: analyse argumentation in texts in terms of scheme and structure build arguments to substantiate their own theses analyse argumentation for compliance with the rules, errors and techniques of influence demonstrate the ability to communicate fluently in the language of study competently present their position on the topic under discussion Communication: participate in professional discussions in the course of classroom work make independent decisions on the choice of ways to build arguments be responsible for the impartiality of the assessment of argumentation.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Before studying this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the historical and cultural process; basic methods of scientific research. 2. To be able to collect and interpret information to build arguments, to build reasoning, to draw rational conclusions from the available information. 3. Have basic skills of working with professional literature, information management, critical attitude to the events and phenomena.

Topic 1: The subject and history of argumentation theory Topic 2. The form of argumentation The rule of logic (synopsis) Topic 3. Scheme and structure of argumentation Analysis of the argumentative text Presentation of self-study Topic 4. Rules, typical mistakes and methods of influence on the point of view in argumentation Topic 5. Rules, typical mistakes and techniques of influence on arguments in argumentation Topic 6. Rules, typical mistakes and techniques of influence on the presentation of arguments Preparation of an argumentative text Presentation of self-study Final test.

Forms of student assessment: Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system. Assessment of semester work: 1. Oral answers - 5/ 10 points 2. Written assignments - - 10/ 20 points 3. Self-study No. 1 - 5/ 10 points 4. Self-study No. 2 - 14/ 20 points 5. Self-study No. 3- PH - - 14/ 20 points The total grade for the semester consists of the points obtained for classroom work (oral answers, written assignments) and for self-study. All types of work for the semester have a total - maximum of 80 points - minimum of 48 points The final control work in written form is worth 20 points.
