Learning outcomes
PRN 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of words, the history of the Hindi language and literature, and to be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PRN 13. To analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and Hindi fiction and oral folk art, to determine their specificity and place in the literary process of India and Ukraine. PRN 15. To carry out linguistic, literary and special philological analysis of Hindi language texts of various styles and genres.
Form of study
Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the professional disciplines "Linguistic Studies of India", "Introduction to Oriental Philology"; knowledge of phonetics, vocabulary and grammar of the modern Hindi literary language obtained from a practical Hindi language course.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to acquaint students with general theoretical issues related to the problem of studying mythology, to give a picture of the ancient Indian mythological system, and to form a holistic idea of the myth phenomenon in students of Indology.
