Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know the main historical figures and main events in the history of Ukraine. 2. To be able to determine the results and consequences of the most important events in the history of Ukraine. 3. To have elementary skills of working with educational literature.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to form a systematic idea of the historical ties between Ukraine and the East, the "Ukrainian policy" of the countries of the East, and their relations with Ukraine.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Education is carried out in the form of lectures, seminar classes and self-study work of students, which involves preparation for oral answers, participation in discussions, essays, testing, and modular control works.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semestral number of points consists of the points scored in the process of learning during the entire educational course, which includes classroom activity and self-study work (min. 48 / max. 80 points). The final control test is scored min. 12 / max. 20 points. The total number of points credited for the course (min. 60 / max. 100 points) is calculated as the sum of points scored for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final control test’s results. Students who scored totally less than the required minimum of 60 points, should – in order to receive credit – complete missed lessons in written and submit/send it by e-mail to the tutor conducting the seminar classes.
