Learning outcomes
PRN 7. To understand the main problems of Persian philology and approaches to their solution using appropriate methods and innovative approaches. PRN 8. To know and understand the language system, the general properties of literature as an art of speech, the history of the Persian language and literature, and to be able to apply this knowledge in professional activities. PRN 13. To analyze and interpret works of Ukrainian and Persian fiction and oral folk art, to determine their specificity and place in the literary process of Iran and Ukraine.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
Successful mastering of the academic disciplines "Persian language: advanced level", "Linguistic studies of Iran" and parts of the complex disciplines "History of Persian literature", "Introduction to philology", "Literary studies and foreign literature". Knowledge of features of phonetics, vocabulary and grammar of the modern Persian language, obtained from a practical course of the Persian language.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the best examples of prose and poetic works of Iranian literature of the 20th century. through their socio-cultural reading and literary analysis, to give an idea of the development of the literary process of Iran in the 20th century, its peculiarities and characteristic features, the development of literary and critical thought in Persian-speaking countries, to outline the place of Iranian literature in the 20th century. in world literature.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Seminar classes, independent work. Oral answers, participation in discussions, Test tasks, Research task / Abstract / Presentation, Modular test papers.  final assessment: exam. Final assessment in the form of an exam:  maximum number of points on the exam – 40 points; the minimum number of points (positive grade), which are added to the semester ones, is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points allotted for the exam);  the following learning outcomes are evaluated at the exam: RN 1.1-1.4; 2.1-2.4;  the exam is conducted in written and oral form, the exam ticket consists of two theoretical questions (20 points each).  students who scored a total number of points less than the critical calculation minimum - 36 points are not allowed to take the exam.
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of mastering the material from the entire academic semester. The overall grade for the semester consists of the points received for classroom work (which synthesizes and independent work on processing theoretical material for classroom preparation) and for independent work (written assignments, preparation for oral answers, presentations, essays, modular control papers, exams) . All types of work for the semester have a total of: - in the maximum dimension - 60 points, - in the minimum dimension - 36 points. In case of absence from the seminar, the student must complete the assignment. The final number of points for the discipline (maximum 100 points) is defined as the sum of points for systematic work during the semester, taking into account the final assessment (exam).
