PRN 2. Effectively work with information: select the necessary information from various sources, in particular from specialized literature and electronic databases, critically analyze and interpret it, organize, classify and systematize it. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Before starting this course, students should know the main stages and characteristics of the socio-political process; 2. To be able to collect and interpret information about the phenomena and phenomena of politics, socio-political processes and events; 3. Possess elementary skills of scientific research and information management; critical attitude and forecasting regarding political, economic, cultural events and phenomena.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is the formation of knowledge about the peculiarities of modern Ukrainian society, politics and government in a comparative context, about the specifics of sociological and political science knowledge about the problems and trends of the development of society, politics and government.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Knowledge control is carried out according to a system that provides for a two-level evaluation of the learned material, in particular, evaluation of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1-1.2), which is 40% of the total evaluation and evaluation of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1-2.4); (communication 3.1-3.3); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1-4.2), which is 60% of the total grade. Evaluation of semester work: - semester evaluation (1st part): 1. Work at seminar classes during the semester. 2. Control work (20 test questions for 0.5 points each): - in the form of a test with closed alternatives - 6-10 points - semester evaluation (2nd part): 1. Oral report (group presentation of project results): – 9-15 points for one project; 2. Independent work (referential and analytical review of the source, analytical intelligence). 3. Test work (20 test questions for 0.5 points each)
Assessment methods and criteria
The semester number of points is formed by the points received by the student in the process of learning the material from the entire educational course. The overall grade for the semester consists of points received for classroom work (oral reports (presentations) and for independent work (referential and analytical review of the source, writing analytical intelligence, presentations). All types of work for the semester have the following in the end: - in the maximum dimension 80 points - a minimum of 48 points In case of absence from the seminar, the student must complete the seminar assignment in written form - essay, abstract and analytical review of sources, analytical intelligence.
