Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Hydrology of rivers", "Hydrology of lakes", "Water balance calculations", "Fundamentals of hydrochemistry". 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of physical geography, general hydrology and meteorology; 3. Possess elementary skills of statistical calculations, cartographic information processing methods, computer technologies.
Course content
The discipline is devoted to the formation of students' integral systemic ideas about the natural, economic, management, and technical prerequisites for the development of the water management complex of Ukraine. As a result of studying the discipline, students should learn the elements of research activity, principles of organization, methods and technologies of conducting hydrological and water resources research, learn to conduct author's research and, in particular, in the part of collection primary information, theoretical premises and working hypotheses, the choice of methodology and methods of conducting an analysis of the integrated use of water resources at the current level of development of society and in the future.

Assessment methods and criteria
Conditions for admission to credit: the recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum) number, a mandatory condition for admission to the credit is the writing of essays on issues of missed or insufficiently mastered topics. - the final assessment in the form of credit is conducted in written format. The maximum number of points during the assessment is 40, the minimum number of points added to semester grades is 24 (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the assessment). The final grade in the discipline consists of the points scored by the student based on the results of the semester control of the first and second parts and the points of the final test.
