Learning outcomes
PRN 1. Communicate freely with professionals questions with specialists and non-specialists state and foreign (Arabic and in French) languages orally and in writing, use them for organization effective intercultural communication. PRN 8. Know and understand the language system, general properties of literature as the art of words, the history of the Arabic language and literature, and be able to apply this knowledge in professional activity. PRN 11. Know the principles, technologies and oral and written creation techniques texts of various genres and styles in national and foreign languages (Arabic and French) languages PRN 13. Analyze and interpret works Ukrainian and Arabic art literature and oral folk art, determine their specificity and place in the literary process of the Arab countries and of Ukraine.

2.1. Know the norms of the Ukrainian literary language, differential features of texts different styles. 2.2. Be able to identify texts that need editing. 2.3. Possess elementary skills of linguistic text analysis.
Course content
The goal of the discipline is to form a system of theoretical and practical knowledge in students basics of editing, to help master the stylistic norms of Ukrainian literature language, learn to edit texts of various styles and genres, and also introduce to features of the editor's work at all stages of the editorial and publishing process.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Semester assessment: Knowledge control is carried out according to the ECTS system, which provides for a two-level assessment of the learned material, in particular the assessment of theoretical training - learning outcomes (knowledge 1.1-1.4), which makes up 40% of the total assessment, and the assessment of practical training - learning outcomes (skills 2.1- 2.4); (communication 3.1); (autonomy and responsibility 4.1.), which is 60% of the total grade. Evaluation of the semester work: 1. Answer in the practical lesson (messages, additions, participation in discussions): RN 1.1-1.4, 2.1-2.4, 3.1., 4.1. – 30/15 points. 2. Analysis and editing of texts: РН1.1-1.4, 2.1-2.4, 3.1., 4.1. – 45/31 points.
Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, evaluation is carried out in accordance with the types of works and the form of the examination, described in clause 7.1. The credit is given based on the results of the student's work throughout the entire semester and does not include additional assessment measures. Students who scored the minimum positive number of points - 60, receive "enrolled". Students who did not score the minimum positive number of points ‒ 60 receive "failed". Students who scored less than 60 points in total for the semester must complete the material on the topics for which the debt arose, in the form of writing independent papers, preparing scientific reports, performing practical tasks, or - if necessary - write a control paper.
