Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. To know physics and mathematics at the level corresponding to the qualification "Bachelor of Physics", in particular, to master the discipline necessary knowledge from the courses "Mathematical analysis", "Differential equations and numerical methods", "Methods of mathematical physics", "Thermodynamics and statistical physics".
2. Be able to apply previous knowledge from courses in mathematical analysis, mathematical physics, fundamentals of vector and tensor analysis and differential equations for solving algebraic and differential equations and systems; use modern computer programs to solve problems.
3. To have basic skills of calculating derivatives, integrals, graphically constructing graphs of functions.
Course content
The normative educational discipline "Synergy" is a component of the cycle of professional training of specialists of the educational qualification level "Master of Physics". The course program is aimed at students who are already familiar with differential and integral calculus and methods of solving differential equations. The educational discipline is devoted to the study of methods of researching processes in open non-equilibrium physical systems. As a result of studying the academic discipline the student should know: basic concepts, methods and equations used to study processes in open non-equilibrium physical systems; be able to: build a mathematical model of physical processes in open non-equilibrium systems; apply appropriate mathematical methods to study the processes described by the selected mathematical model.
Recommended or required reading and other learning resources/tools

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Teaching methods: lectures - 30 hours, students' independent work - 60 hours.
Assessment methods and criteria
Surveys during classes, control papers after the main sections of the course, defense of written essays, credit. The final grade from the educational component as a whole, the final form of control for which credit is established, is defined as the sum of grades (points) for all successfully evaluated study results during the semester (grades below the minimum threshold level are not added to the final grade) and the grade obtained during the assessment. The form of the assessment is writing a written work followed by an oral interview. The number of points that can be obtained by the student during the assessment is 20 points on a 100-point scale. Rescheduling the semester control in order to improve a positive assessment is not allowed.
