Learning outcomes
LO03. It is easy to explain the peculiarities of the geographical organization

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Soil science", "Geomorphology", "Global environmental problems", "Hydrology and oceanology", "Cartography with the basics of topography", "Biogeography", "Basics of geoecology".
2. To be able to establish the nature of relationships between the causes, consequences and ways of solving geo-ecological problems of Ukraine.
3. To be able to analyze the negative consequences of unregulated human economic activity from the standpoint of the geoecological approach to the optimization of Ukraine's natural environment.
4. To know the main theoretical provisions of modern geoecology, the history of the formation of this science, its branches and directions, the structure and regularities of the functioning of the natural environment, the problems that arise in the environment during the development, extraction and processing of various natural resources.
Course content
This academic discipline is devoted to the study of the most urgent problems of the use and protection of the geological environment, soil, water, and other natural resources of Ukraine; the causes of the energy crisis and its geo-ecological consequences; waste management; formation and prospects of the nature reserve fund and development of the national eco-network of Ukraine; consequences of irrational human production activity; impact of various branches of nature management on the natural environment of Ukraine.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lecture, independent work, practical session.
Assessment methods and criteria
The survey in test and written form is conducted after the completion of the teaching of each topic. Practical work is defended by performance, in accordance with the schedule of practical classes. Modular control works (MCR) are conducted in test form. Students who received less than the minimum prescribed number of points for the MKR will retake it. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), writing essays on missed or insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the сredit. The maximum number of points on the exam is 40, the minimum number of points added to semester points is 24
