LO01. To know, understand and be able to use in practice the basic concepts of the theory of geography, as well as worldview sciences. LO03. Explain the peculiarities of the organization of geographical space. LO08. Apply models and methods of physics, chemistry, geology, ecology, mathematics, information technologies, etc. when studying natural and social processes of formation and development of geospheres. LO09. Analyze the composition and structure of natural and sociospheres (in accordance with the professional direction) on different spatial and temporal scales. LO10. To know the goals of sustainable development and the possibilities of one's professional sphere to achieve them, including in Ukraine.

Full-time form

Basic knowledge of general geology, paleontology, mineralogy, lithology.

The discipline studies the history and regularities of geological development of the Earth, establishes the sequence of formation of rocks, studies the stages of development of the organic world, regularities of manifestation in time of various geological processes; conditions of formation of minerals, etc.; is based on the data of stratigraphy, paleontology, lithology, petrology, geochemistry, tectonics, regional geology and geophysics.

Lecture, practical session, independent study

Oral examination, performance of practical work, modular control work, exam. The maximum possible number of points for each modular test is 20 (minimum – 12). The maximum possible number of points obtained on the exam is 40 (the minimum is 24). The final grade for the academic discipline is calculated taking into account the grades for the test papers (content modules) and the results of the exam.
