Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the "Hydroecology" course.
2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of general hydrogeology and hydrochemistry, as well as the hydrochemistry of Ukraine.
3. Possession of elementary concepts about the hydrochemistry of water bodies, their hydrochemical regime, have skills in hydrochemistry data processing.
Course content
The study discipline "Mineral waters" is a selective discipline of the cycle of professional and practical training of the educational and qualification level "master". The educational discipline is based on the theoretical sections of the fundamental course on the basics of hydrochemistry, namely the sections devoted to the conditions of formation chemical composition of natural waters, hydrochemical zoning, the study of the main groups of chemical components in hydrochemistry, the conditions of formation and regional distribution of the chemical composition of underground waters with the selection of their special type - mineral waters.

Assessment methods and criteria
During the semester, after the completion of the relevant topics, thematic written control papers with open questions are conducted. It is mandatory for the exam to write test papers according to content modules, to complete all practical works. For students who scored a total of less than the critical calculation minimum - 36 points, writing essays on insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the exam. The maximum number of points on the exam is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam). Students who, during the semester, scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 20 points are not allowed to take the exam. The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 36 points.
