The content of the discipline "Fundamentals of scientific research" is based on the knowledge acquired by students in previous courses in general geology, basics of ecology, philosophy, engineering geology and geodesy, computer science, statistics, system analysis, applied mathematical analysis in geosciences, geoinformation systems in earth sciences, and also able to independently evaluate and solve the main issues of the field of geodesy and land management.

            Course content

The program of the academic discipline provides basic theoretical information on the organization and conduct of scientific research. The method of theoretical and experimental research is considered. General concepts of research modeling are given. The information provision of scientific research is analyzed. Recommendations are given on the presentation of the results of students' scientific research in the form of scientific works.
