LO05. Be able to conduct field and laboratory research.
LO06. Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the Earth as a planetary system and its geospheres, including the pedosphere.
LO07. Apply models, methods and data of physics, chemistry, biology, ecology, mathematics, information technology, etc. when studying natural processes of formation and development of the pedosphere.
LO10. To analyze the composition and structure of the pedosphere on different spatial and temporal scales
LO13. Be able to convey the results of activities to a professional audience and the general public, make presentations and messages.
LO15. Be able to choose optimal methods and tools for research, data collection and processing.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1) successful mastering of such academic disciplines as "Soil Science", "Soil Research", "Soil Physics", "Soil Chemistry", "Soil Cover and Land Resources of the World", "Genesis and Morphology of Soils", "Methods of Soil Science Research"; 2) mastery of soil research methods; 3) the ability to read and interpret the results of soil science research.
Course content
The educational discipline consists of three content modules. The first of them is devoted to the study of agroecosystems, their components and structure, environmental laws related to agrosystems. The second module reveals issues related to the chemicalization of agricultural production and its environmental consequences, the main sources of fertilizer pollution, etc. The third module is devoted to the issues of environmental consequences of agricultural production and optimization of agricultural landscapes and the organization of sustainable agroecosystems.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Lectures, practical classes, independent work
Assessment methods and criteria
Surveys in test and written form of practical and independent work, modular control works. The final assessment in the form of credit is conducted in writing. The maximum number of points is 40, the minimum number of points to be added to semester marks is 24.
Students who scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum - 30 points are not allowed to pass the test. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 30 points, writing essays on missed or insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the test.
