Learning outcomes
LO01. Collect, process and analyze information in the field of earth sciences.
LO06. Determine the main characteristics, processes, history and composition of the Earth as a planetary system and its geospheres, including the pedosphere.
LO08. Justify the choice and use field and laboratory methods for the analysis of natural and anthropogenic systems and objects.
LO10. To analyze the composition and structure of the pedosphere on different spatial and temporal scales.
LO12. Know and apply theories, paradigms, concepts and principles in the Earth sciences, particularly in the field of soil science.

Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the discipline "Meteorology" and "Meteorological research"; 2. Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of atmospheric processes and phenomena.
Course content
In the process of studying the discipline, the main climate-forming factors and processes and the main features of the climate regime are considered, in particular, the physical conditions of formation, repeatability and the main features of the spatio-temporal distribution of certain meteorological values and phenomena on the territory of Europe and Ukraine.

Assessment methods and criteria
Assessment of individual work, essay, presentation, test, blitz survey, exam. The recommended minimum for admission is 36 points. For students who scored a total of less than 36 points (recommended minimum), writing essays on missed or insufficiently mastered topics is a mandatory condition for admission to the credit. The final evaluation in the form of credit is conducted in written format. The maximum number of points on the test is 40 points, the minimum number of points added to semester points is 24.
