Prerequisites and co-requisites
⮚ Successful mastering of the disciplines "Chemistry with the basics of geochemistry",
"Ecological monitoring", "Soil science", "Landscape ecology".
⮚ To be able to analyze the features of natural and anthropogenic processes in
geographical envelopes, to be able to carry out a comprehensive assessment of the state
geocomponents and predict changes in them;
⮚ Know the main features of the functioning of natural geosystems that
are affected by anthropogenic activity; principles and methods of provision
sustainable development of territories;
⮚ Know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geographical research, be able to
to use them in production and research activities; be able
to model objects and processes, applying
Course content
Discipline "Environmental pollutants"
aimed at deepening theoretical ecological knowledge, formation of
future specialists in geoecological thinking and competences, their understanding
the essence of ecological risks associated with the pollution of environmental components
and food products, cross-border distribution of dangerous chemicals,
in particular persistent organic pollutants. Materials of the educational discipline
provide an opportunity to apply environmental impact assessment procedures in practice,
to assess the risks of transboundary transport of pollutants. This is educational
discipline is an integral part of constructive geography and unifies knowledge
related disciplines related to risks to the environment and public health,
industries and human social activity. She provides
the ability to analyze activities related to the protection and restoration of natural
ecosystems
