Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Higher mathematics with the basics of mathematics statistics", "Geographic information systems", "Geographic information technologies", "Remote sensing of the Earth". 2. Know the basic principles of geoinformatics and the properties of vector and raster geodata. 3. To be able to work with geographic information systems for implementation elementary analysis and compilation of thematic maps; 4. Have basic skills in finding information sources, conducting basic statistical calculations, analysis of cartographic sources and geodata, generalization and synthesis of information.
Course content
The discipline is aimed at studying and mastering the approaches and methods of geospatial analysis in context landscape studies and mapping. Students are in the process of studying get acquainted with the starting points of geospatial analysis; the main ones sources of Open geodata and their properties; master techniques and methods of geospatial analysis of their preparation and thematic interpretation for needs of modern landscape studies.
