Students have to successfully pass the courses: Foreign Language for Professional Purposes, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics and Management.
Course content
Module 1.Up-to-date digital tools of translation: electronic dictionaries, reference books on translation web portals and Internet communities, online translators, machine editing tools, literacy and style checking, text formatting. General theoretical aspects of translation: translatability problems; adequacy of content interpretation. Ways to translate realities, phraseology, proper names. Translation of realities in personal documents: CV, transcript, official certificate, certificate, diploma, letter of motivation. Inter-language homonymy and translator's false friends. Module 2. Solutions for translating language differences in economic writing (Part 1) 1. Nouns, 2. The articles, 3. Verbs, 4. Particles. Solutions for translating language differences in economic writing (Part 2). 1. Adjectives 2. Adverbs, 3. Conjunctions. Solutions for translating language differences in economic writing (Part 3). 1. Business terminology, 2. Names of businesses, 3. People and organizations, 4. Production and manufacturing, 5. Customers, consumers, clients and competitors. Solutions for translating language differences in economic writing (Part 4). 1. Reporting results, 2. Key indicators, 3. Wage, salary, pay, grant, fee, allowance, 4. Markets.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Information-traditional with elements of problem-oriented learning: lectures, seminar classes, independent work, consultations, performance of individual and team tasks, analysis of problem situations.
Assessment methods and criteria
80 points maximum – 40 points minimum Participation in practical classes (theoretical discussions, case discussions, presentations) - 20 points / 8 points Independent work - 10 points / 6 points Completing an individual translation project - 40 points / 17 points Individual translation project and its presentation - 10 points / 5 points. - the final assessment is in the form of zalik:
