Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful completion of the courses "Introduction to university studies", "Economic theory", "History of economics and economic thought", "History of management", "Management", "Marketing", "Personnel management", "Enterprise economics", "Philosophy ", "Investment". 2. Know: theoretical foundations of economics, history of economics and economic thought, statistics, management, marketing, investing, personnel management. 3. Possess: the skills to learn and master modern knowledge, analyze what has been read and compare and contrast the opinions of scientists regarding the researched scientific problem, use modern opportunities to access information and methods of its accumulation.
Course content
The evolution of scientific approaches to determining the role of science and technology in economic development is studied; processes of formation, formation and practical implementation of innovative concepts of social development. The necessity and essence of the state's activities in the scientific, technical and innovative spheres are studied; state science and technology and innovation policy; tools of the state science, technology and innovation policy; methods of state influence on the development of science, technology, and innovation; state policy in the formation of scientific and technical potential; state scientific and technical examination; system of scientific and technical information.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods
Information-traditional with elements of problem-oriented learning: lectures, seminar classes, independent work, consultations, performance of individual and team tasks, analysis of problem situations.
Assessment methods and criteria
1. Oral answers - 20 points/ 12 points. 2. Practical tasks with discussion elements - 20 points/ 12 points. 3. Complex practical task (independent work) – 20 points/ 12 points. 4. Two test papers of 10 points each – 20 points/12 points. 5. Final test - 20 points/ 12 points.
