1. To know, understand and be able to use in practice basic concepts of physical theory geography, landscape ecology, as well as outlook Science (P01) 2. Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Biogeography", "Geology", "Hydrology and oceanology", "Soil science". 2. To be able to establish the nature of relationships between the causes of occurrence, consequences and ways of solving geoecological problems. 3. To be able to analyze the negative consequences of unregulated economy human activity from the standpoint of the geoecological approach to environmental protection problems 4. To know the main theoretical provisions of modern geoecology, the history of its formation of this science, its structure and regularities of natural functioning environment 5. To know modern quantitative and qualitative methods of geoecological research, methodology studies of natural and transformed landscapes, determination of standards purity of the components of the natural environment, geoecological organization monitoring etc.
Course content
This discipline devoted to the study of the general features of the functioning of geoecosystems that are exposed to human economic and other activities, causes of their emergence, principles and modern techniques used in geoecological research as well as the formation of skills to solve up -to -date geoecological problems in the plane of the subject area of natural knowledge geography. The discipline "Fundamentals of Geoecology" is aimed at deepening theoretical geo -ecological knowledge, formation of special students professional, social and personal competencies, accumulation of knowledge about possibilities of critical thinking, analysis and synthesis, ability to search, process and analyze information from different sources, the ability to identify, formulate and solve problems in the field of natural geography and geoecology. Separate components of discipline are the study of principles and methods increase of stability and ensuring sustainable development of geoecosystems; ways management of environmental processes in geoecosystems; principles rational use and protection of geoecosystems components from influence adverse anthropogenic and man -made factors; Methods of conducting Investigation of the consequences of adverse effects on the geoecosystem. The functional block of discipline involves mastering such components as the ability to apply the basic knowledge of the natural sciences and information technologies in design and planning activity, ability apply quantitative and qualitative methods of research of geoecosystems, ability self-explore, analyze spatial-time changes of geoecosystems for The goals of rational nature management and nature protection.
