Knowledge of school mathematics at the level of secondary education.
Course content
The following fundamental concepts of higher education are considered in the discipline program mathematics as sets, functions and relations on sets, matrices determinants and actions with them, coordinate systems, vectors and operations with them, equation of lines on a plane, equation of a straight line and a plane in space, boundary and continuity of function, derivative, differential, elements of mathematics statistics These basic mathematical concepts are necessary to prepare students for the use of methods of linear, vector algebra, analytical geometry, mathematical analysis, mathematical statistics for understanding means, mathematical methods and models used in the future training courses when conducting practical statistical research in natural geography in the application of geoinformation systems and technologies, promoting the development of students' logical and analytical thinking. The functional block of the discipline involves mastering the following components, such as the ability to apply knowledge of higher mathematics in geographical studies.
