PLO 10. To know the norms of the literary language and be able to apply them in practical activities. PLO 11. To know the principles, technologies and methods of creating oral and written texts of various genres and styles in the national and foreign (Persian and English) languages. PLO 18. To have skills in managing complex actions or projects when solving complex problems in the professional field activities in the field of Iranian studies, as well as translation activities, and to be responsible for making decisions in the unpredictable conditions. PLO 20. To demonstrate basic knowledge of translation theory, basic theoretical and practical problems of translation studies in the aspect of a specific pair of languages (Persian and Ukrainian).

Successful mastering of the disciplines: “Oriental language: advanced level”, “Introduction to Oriental Philology”, “Lingual Country Studies of the Oriental Languages”.

The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with the types of audiovisual translation, the specifics of the translation of multimedia products; to develop students’ skills to select the correct contextual counterparts in the translation language and the original language, to apply appropriate translation techniques in order to create a high-quality translation product in the field of audiovisual translation. The discipline belongs to the block of disciplines of the student's free choice and has a practical direction.

The discipline provides only practical classes, designed for active work of students in the classroom and aimed at further development of translation skills in oral and written translation of the mentioned types of texts. Completion of homework and translation exercises is mandatory. Control from the teacher's side is carried out by means of oral questioning and the organization of listening tasks, tests, translation exercises, modular control works.

Semestral assessment is based on the oral responses, written assignments, presentations – 36/60 points, modular test papers – 12/20 points, final control paper – 12/20 points. The credit is given based on the results of the student’s work throughout the entire semester and does not require additional assessment measures. Students who scored 60 points, the required minimum, receive “passed”. Students who failed to score 60 points, the required minimum, receive “failed”. Those students who scored totally less than 60 points during the semester period should complete a test paper in the items which he/she failed to pass. Final score 60-100 – passed; 0-59 – failed.
