Prerequisites and co-requisites
1. Successful mastering of the disciplines "Introduction to the profession", "Meteorology".
2. To know the structural components of the geographical envelope, the properties of individual ones
geocomponents and characterize the features of their interaction on different
spatio-temporal levels. To give a biogeographical description of the territories, them
flora and plant associations.
3. To know the peculiarities of the functioning of geosystems and the main physical and geographical ones
the processes taking place in them, the leading circulations of matter and energy, which
are responsible for the functional differentiation of the geosphere.
4. To be able to work with generally geographical, thematic and topographical
cartographic materials, use them for orientation
terrain, route planning and characteristics of geocomponents.
Course content
The educational practice is devoted to the practical consolidation of the skills and abilities of the biogeographic characteristics of the territory, the acquisition of skills in the application of field research methods, in particular
for the study of plant cover, conducting observations, carrying out complex geographical descriptions, filling out field documentation; acquisition of competences of cooperation and work in a group, settlement of disagreements and conflicts; mastering the skills to make a geographical description and characterization, to generalize and formulate conclusions, as well as to draw up expedition documentation and reporting materials.
Educational practice consists of three stages:
1) introductory and preparatory;
2) main - route;
3) cameral (final).
At the first stage of practice, the teacher introduces students to the route and
practice program, gives them an introductory lecture, advises on issues
effective organization of expeditionary field research, conducts
safety training, etc. Also at the preparatory stage of practice
a detailed route is being developed and its comprehensive route is being conducted
geographical analysis according to the defined plan, field objects are outlined
observations, places of laying soil sections.
