PLO 3. to know the regulatory and legal principles of ensuring issues of rational use, protection, accounting and assessment of land at the national, regional, local and economic levels, procedures for state registration of land plots, other real estate objects and restrictions on their use PLO 5. use methods of collecting information in the field of geodesy and land management, its systematization and classification in accordance with the assigned project or production task PLO 7. use methods and technologies of land management design, territorial and economic land management, planning of land use and protection, cadastral surveys and maintenance of the state land cadastre

Prerequisites and co-requisites
successful mastery of disciplines: "Remote sensing of the Earth", "Cartography", "Cartographic research method", "Land resources management", "Cadastre", "Land law"; knowledge of the theoretical foundations of mathematics, statistics, probability theory, engineering and computer graphics possession of elementary skills of mathematical modeling, forecasting; knowledge of GIS information systems.
Course content
The purpose of the discipline is to acquaint students with a set of research methods that ensure the requirements of land use according to the intended purpose, effective and rational use of land resources and their monitoring in Ukraine. The discipline "Monitoring and protection of lands" on the basis of the outlined theoretical and methodological provisions gives students general concepts about the role of monitoring and protection of lands in the rational solution of practical problems of rational nature management. Introduces the principles and structure of land monitoring, methods and measures for the protection of the land fund.

Assessment methods and criteria
Semester evaluation: the number of points that the student receives during the semester is the sum of the points obtained during the evaluation of completed practical work, survey and execution of modular control works. Organization of evaluation: a survey in test and written form is conducted after the completion of the teaching of each topic. Practical work is defended by performance, in accordance with the schedule of practical classes. Modular control works (MCR) are conducted in test form. Final evaluation in the form of an exam: the maximum number of points in the exam (conducted in written format) is 40 points, the minimum number of points that are added to the semester ones is 24 points (60% of the maximum number of points assigned to the exam). Students who, during the semester, scored a total of less points than the critical calculation minimum of 20 points are not allowed to take the exam. The recommended minimum for admission to the exam is 38 points.
